Weddings are always an expensive endeavor. And, when you’re a celebrity, that price tag gets at least a few extra zeros on the end.

Here are some of the most expensive celebrity weddings of 2012:

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel: It was perhaps the BIGGEST wedding of 2012. Despite JT and Jessica’s frantic attempts to keep their big day under wraps, we found out about their Italian nuptials almost instantly.
With a five-star Mediterranean resort, $100,000 private plane rides for guests, and a $130,000 (probably) engagement ring, the price got up to $6.5 million pretty quickly.

They earned at least some of that number back, selling their photos to People magazine for $300,000.


Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively: The Green Lantern actor reportedly shelled out a whopping $2 million on Blake’s engagement ring, which—funny story—is what they spent on the house they bought together in Connecticut.

We’re not totally sure how much the wedding day cost, but based on these expensive tastes, it had to be a pretty penny.

Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves: Because he can, Matthew McConaughey set up a mini village at his Texas estate, complete with air-conditioned state-of-the-art tents for guests.

The fortress surely set the Dallas Buyers Club actor back many doll hairs, but nothing is too much for the woman he describes as “the love of his life.”

Anne Hathaway and Adam Shulman: In September, the details of actress’ wedding hit the web: 180 guests, a $100,000 flower arrangement, hired musicians to perform “simple and rustic” sounds…

The ceremony reportedly cost a grand total of $1,000,000, which is more money than most people will ever see at one given time. But, with both The Dark Knight Rises and Les Misérables coming out this year, I doubt Anne had any trouble handling the tab.

Drew Barrymore and Will Kopelman: For her third try at marriage, Drew Barrymore didn’t exactly hold back. Drew had an engagement ring that reportedly cost $80,000 and wore a Chanel wedding dress, which easily added another five-digit figure to the wedding cost tally.
