MONEY CANT BUY A RECORD DEAL"NIGERIAN HEIRESS FIRES BACK AT CRITICS. WANTS TO BE THE NEXT RIHANNA
A Nigerian heiress sprawls across her luxurious bed in a $2,640 Carmen Marc Valvo magenta gown in The New York Post. Her name is Bim (short for Abimbola), she’s the daughter of one of the world’s wealthiest men, and she’s ready to dethrone Rihanna and become the next pop princess.
Her father is Antonio Deinde Fernandez , a Nigerian billionaire; he’s worth an astounding $8.7 billion. Bim, with an original Picasso masterpiece hanging in her lavish Manhattan pad, boasts about having a personal relationship with the late Nelson Mandela. She called him “uncle.”
However, she’snot front and center to flaunt her luxe Midtown apartment or her French bulldog adorned in gold necklaces. She just released her new single, “Let’s Take It Naked,” and she’s determined to captivate the music industry like her idol Rihanna.
But because of her wealthy upbringing, Bim has been at the receiving end of criticism from other aspiring artists. But she insists that her inheritance had no bearing on her break into the music industry. “Money can’t buy a record deal,” Bim said. “It can’t buy good music. You can either sing or you can’t.”
The Nigerian heiress isn’t right about that statement. Kim Kardashian’s wealth, for example, is the reason why the public suffered through her release of Turn It Up, produced by The Dream. And Paris Hilton is always trying to make a big break in the industry. These two, for sure, aren’t talented vocalists.
Still, Bim says her single “Let’s Take It Naked”, which debuted this week at smhworldwide.net, was launched without her father’s help. Though, NYPost adds, she does receive a monthly allowance from her billionaire daddy.
Bim’s father, as you can imagine, isn’t on board with “Let’s Take It Naked.” Not because of its content per se, but because Bim is casting a bright spotlight on her fortune.
“He’s terrified because I’m his baby — especially with [me] revealing [my] wealth, and me being alone in the country, he’s terrified of someone kidnapping me and holding me for ransom,” she says.
As for the lyrics, Bim doesn’t understand the big hoopla surrounding her seductively-titled track. “It’s not even that racy of a song!” she said. “It’s very poppy, like, ‘I think you’re cute! Do you like me? So let’s get naked!’”
While Bim tries to convince us that she’s just not another spoiled rich kid, she seems uncertain herself. “People think I’m exactly like Paris Hilton, that I do nothing, I don’t work for myself, I don’t make my own money, I just spend my dad’s money, and I’m a spoiled brat. I hope they’re not right.”
In refuting that she’s not taking the road to Kim Kardashian-dom, it’s not helping her case that she’ll soon star as a reality TV star. Along with sealing a deal with SMH records, Bim is in final negotiations with a major TV network to follow her affluent and prosperous socialite life.
Hmm, sounds familiar doesn’t it
goodluck honey Bim
